Power Output                           135 bhp @ 5100 rpm

 

Torque                                     165 lb ft @ 2600 rpm

Power Output                           160 bhp @ 5000 rpm

 

Torque                                     194 lb ft @ 2700 rpm

 

Information taken from GM Performance Book

All of the above engines are in stock form, no headers etc, add 5 to 15 hp and

5 to 10 lb ft of torque in the mid range rpm with headers.

 

GM Chevrolet 3.4 crate engine with Edelbrock manifold

#8007 Holley 390 cfm carb, 1 1/2 headers and 1.6 ratio crane roller rocker arms

 

                        Power Output                            220 hp @ 5000 rpm

                        Torque                                       *210 lb @ 2700 rpm

 

*information supplied by customer. Classic Conversions is installing a crate engine, 3.4 with carb, into a 1974 MGB and test.  The above numbers are very possible.

Rover 3.5 V8 1981 Fuel Injected

 

Power Output                                       148 bhp @ 5100 rpm

 

Torque                                                 180 lb ft @ 3000 rpm

Note: Peak torque on the Chevrolet V6 comes in at a lower rpm than the Rover V8
